Interior and furniture quotation format
Interior and furniture customers compare quotations line by line, and the cheapest one often uses a thinner board or a cheaper hinge. Show exactly what your price includes, so you are compared fairly.
Lines that work
- Group by room: "Master bedroom: sliding wardrobe 8 ft × 7 ft, 18 mm BWP ply, 1 mm laminate outside, white inside, soft-close channels, 56 Sq ft @ ₹1,650".
- Name the materials and brands (ply grade, laminate, hardware), or write "or equal".
- Keep design, site measurement, transport and installation as separate lines, so the customer sees their value.
- Use Sq ft for wardrobes and panelling, Rft for kitchen counters and lofts, Nos for tables and beds.
Terms for interior work
- Sizes are as per the drawing approved on the date shown. Changes after approval will be charged.
- 50% advance with the order, 40% when material reaches site, 10% on handover.
- Delivery and installation in 30 to 35 days after the advance and final drawing.
- Electrical, plumbing and civil changes are not included.
- Colour and grain of laminate and wood can differ slightly from the sample.
Tips
- Send two options in two quotations (for example "Option A: laminate" and "Option B: acrylic") instead of mixing them in one. Use Copy as new and change the rates.
- Add photos or drawings separately and refer to them in Notes ("As per drawing D-03 dated 2 Nov").
- Furniture and works may have different GST rates; check each line's rate with your accountant.
